California, a calendar app on Ubuntu


Previously, i talked about calendar tool on the command line of ubuntu, some of you probably prefer a GUI application, so is there any calendar program that runs on GUI or graphical mode?

The answer is yes, there is a calendar program that runs on graphical mode, the name of the program is 'california'. Besides showing calendar, you can also manages to do list (events) for every dates on the calendar.

To install 'california' on ubuntu, simply run this command:
sudo apt-get install california
Once installed, you can open the program by typing 'california' on ubuntu dash and then run it. To add events or to-do list, simply select the date and double click with your mouse, a pop-up window will shows up.



You can also change the color of the events from the setting menu inside 'california'.
