Parole Media Player on Ubuntu

Parole media player is a front-end GUI for GStreamer framework, parole media player is based on xfce desktop environment (xubuntu), but if you want you can also use it on ubuntu.

Parole media player is graphical front-end for GStreamers plugin and claims to be fast and lightweight media player, you can install parole media player on ubuntu using this command:
sudo apt-get install parole
Just like most modern media player, parole also support for subtitle, so you can playback movie with subtitle, you can also change aspect ratio of the movie/video.

Parole media player is quite nice, it has less features compared with VLC media player, but offers almost the same performance if not slightly better than VLC.
