elementary OS 0.4.1 is based on Ubuntu 16.04.2 LTS. This release brings a new hardware enablement stack, all of the updates to Loki thus far, plus a brand new AppCenter. Loki 0.4.1 ships with a newer kernel and X.Org server as part of the Ubuntu 16.04.2 core. This means Linux 4.8 and better support for 7th generation Intel (Kaby Lake) chipsets, among other hardware compatibility and performance improvements.
