How to Install SuperTuxKart 0.9.3 Final on Ubuntu, a 3D Kart Racing Game released

     SuperTuxKart, aka STK, released version 0.9.3  Final on November 20, 2017 This new version brings in several new tracks, karts and features. It’s a free, open-source and cross-platform racing game available for Linux, OS X and Windows. It features the mascots of many open source project like Tux, Beastie, Pidgin, Wilber etc, with Mozilla Thunderbird being the referee.


SuperTuxKart 0.9.3 Final  Changelog:
  • Reduced RAM and VRAM usage, reducing load times
  • New mesh format optimized for space and hardware skinning
  • Code refactoring of both render pipelines
  • New karts Wilber and Hexley
  • New karts Kiki and updated Konqi
  • New tracks Cornfield Crossing and Candela City

Installation instructions:

   We can add this PPA contains the SuperTuxKart 0.9.3 Final release for Ubuntu 14.04, Ubuntu 16.04, Ubuntu 17.04, Ubuntu 17.10, Ubuntu 18.04. and install  KStars with few easy commands. 

    Open terminal and insert command line...

$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:stk/dev

$ sudo apt-get update

$ sudo apt-get install supertuxkart

  Optional, to remove wine and revert the changes, do:

sudo apt-get remove --autoremove supertuxkart
