How to install Darktable 2.2.3 on Ubuntu 16.04, 16.10

     Darktable is an open source photography workflow application and raw developer. A virtual lighttable and darkroom for photographers. It manages your digital negatives in a database, lets you view them through a zoomable lighttable and enables you to develop raw images and enhance them.


announce the third bugfix release for the 2.2 series of darktable, 2.2.3

Bugfixes:

  •     Fix fatal crash when generating preview for medium megapixel count (~16MP) Bayer images
  •     Properly subtract black levels: respect the even/odd -ness of the raw crop origin point
  •     Collection module: fix a few UI quirks

 Installation instructions:

    We can add this PPA to Ubuntu Operating  Systems and install Darktable with few easy commands.

Open terminal and insert command line...

$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:pmjdebruijn/darktable-release

$ sudo apt-get update

$ sudo apt-get install darktable
