What is NethServer?

NethServer is a CentOS-based Linux distribution for servers. NethServer offers number of built-in modules that can be used to turn any systems into a mail, Web, Proxy, DNS, FTP, Cloud, IDS, Samba, or VPN servers instantly within few minutes. It also includes a comprehensive web-based user interface that simplifies common administration tasks and enables single-click installation of several pre-configured modules. NethServer 7.3 New Features and Improvements

NethServer 7.3 is now able to act as a Samba Active Directory Controller. NethServer can replace a Microsoft Active Directory Domain Controller Native MS-Windows management tools, like RSAT tools and AD PowerShell are compatible with NethServer Group policies can be deployed through native MS-Windows tools Windows workstations can seamlessly join the AD Domain, no more registry tweaks are needed. NethServer 7 brings a centralized account management (so-called 'multi-site') supporting authentication and authorization against either a local or remote accounts provider.

NethServer 7.3 Minimum System Requirements

1. 64 bit CPU (x86_64).
2. 1 GB of RAM.
3. 10 GB of disk space.
4. At least 2 disks is recommended to setup a RAID 1. The RAID software will ensure data integrity in case of a disk failure.
