View, edit and write ID3 tags with easytag

Easytag is the program you want to look, if you need to view, edit and write ID3 tag (as well as other tag format) on ubuntu. Let's say you have mp3 files and you want to enter information about the artist, title, album and so on, you can do that with easytag.

ID3 is a metadata container most often used in conjunction with the MP3 audio file format. It allows information such as the title, artist, album, track number, and other information about the file to be stored in the file itself.

Using easytag not only you can edit ID3 tag, but also other tags such as FLAC vorbis tag, Ogg vorbis tag, MPEG-4 tag and some other tags. It's pretty cool program for editing various audio tags.

To install easytag on ubuntu, simply open terminal (CTRL + ALT + T) and then run this command:
sudo apt-get install easytag

Once installed, you can go to ubuntu dash and search 'easytag' and then open it.

From the user interface, i can say that easytag is pretty easy to use, all you have to do is find the audio files, and then edit the tag info on the right and once you are finish save button on the top (save changes to selected files).
